About

Dr O'Connor qualified in dentistry at Trinity College Dublin and spent four years in practice in Dublin, Wexford and Melbourne before taking a place on the orthodontic doctoral programme at the University of Queensland, becoming the first Australian-trained Irish orthodontist. That training included time in some of Brisbane's busiest orthodontic practices, which meant a volume and variety of cases that is difficult to get any other way.

He is a registered specialist orthodontist in Ireland and now treats patients at our Ballinteer Road clinic, from early intervention in children through to complex adult cases planned alongside other specialists. He has published peer-reviewed research on how clear aligners perform in adults, which is listed below. Outside the practice, he follows Galway GAA.
